It's merely the attempt and **** coming from that entire Hatfield / McCoy Feud mentality. They've been fighting and killing and blaming and making enemies and allies for so long that everybody has "legitimate" reasons for EVERYTHING they do. On paper "they all" certainly do.
So, is it 2 weeks or 2 years? Dunno, but they are trying...

A fairly recent event (considering the history) was Saddam Who'sSane? **** the world about his military, materiel, willingness, motives, etc. He inflated everything and basically the whole world bought it. Of course after the fact many people said, "Well, he never fooled me for a minute..."
History on that was rewritten and the younger you are the more apt you are to believe the after-the-fact version.
I was young then but I remember the world being on edge. Saddam "Mother of All Wars" Hussein, as I recall.
